Cops want to speak with short-fused funnyman Katt Williams after he allegedly pulled a gun on someone at a comedy show in West Hollywood.

Williams, 40, was at the Comedy Store on the legendary Sunset Strip around 2 a.m. Wednesday when he allegedly “brandished” the weapon during a verbal dispute, police confirmed to the Daily News.

“He’s being investigated, preliminary, for threatening someone with a weapon,” Sgt. Dave Valentine with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

More than a half dozen black and white cruisers responded to a 911 call of a man with a gun, he said.

“(Williams) wasn’t performing. He was just there, but he was gone when we arrived,” Sgt. Valentine said. “The victim filed a report. Obviously we’d like to hear Mr. Williams’ side of the story.”

Unidentified eyewitnesses told TMZ.com that Williams was inside the club when the alleged victim started baiting the “Norbit” and “First Sunday” star with comments about his height and race.

“We’re not sure if it was a heckler,” Sgt. Valentine said Wednesday, confirming that deputies took the call seriously and raced to the scene, some with weapons drawn.

“If we get a call of a man with a gun, we’re sending everyone we have,” he said.

A rep for Williams did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Williams, whose real name is Micah Williams, is no stranger to police activity.

He was arrested in 2006 for carrying a concealed gun at LAX airport and placed on probation.

In late 2012, he was arrested three times in the span of a few weeks for allegedly assaulting a Berkeley, Calif., man with a bottle after a show, inciting a bar fight in Seattle and leading cops on a bizarre police pursuit in Sacramento.

According to Sacramento cops, Williams was driving a three-wheel motorcycle on a sidewalk in downtown Sacramento on November 25, 2012, when he fled police and blew through several red lights.

Police called off the chase out of a concern for public safety and arrested him two weeks later.
