Onyx’s Fredro Starr, who was accompanied by Loaded Lux , recently commented about his long awaited battle against Def Squad representative, Keith Murray.
When asked how he felt the battle went down, the “Slam” emcee described to DJ Vlad his match up as hip hop history and also expressed his opinion that the bout was a good look for the battle rap as a whole.
Fans of the culture as well as emcees in this era usually prefer battles that are acapella rather than having competitors spit to an instrumental. When asked if he felt there was difference battling to a beat, the Onyx member stated that although he prefers to battle without a beat, an emcee must be versatile enough to perform in whatever format that is provided.
Many who were in attendance for the showdown shared the same belief that Fredro Starr was the victor of the battle. After the legendary Loaded Lux told Vlad he felt the same way, Starr humbly stated that it is up for the fans to decide.
Earlier this week pop Rihanna bragged about breaking viewing records for her Rock in Rio concert in Brazil.
After Rihanna’s show in Brazil the singer posted on Instagram that over 7 million people tuned in to watch her perform.
But website Oh No They Didn’t proved otherwise regarding her tally.
After going over the ratings stats on Brazilian website Contém POP posters on ONTD revealed
“Looking into the detailed report of the event ratings, we can see the number is completely false.”
“With 2.1 points higher than the second place Adam Lambert and Queen, the report says. 1 rating point is equivalent to 67.000 people watching. This means Rihanna only had 502,000 people watching.”
Don’t try to talk people into believing your music is good. Let the hard work you put into the music speak for it self. Sometimes when you talk to much we wonder “who are you trying to convince me or you?” If you know your song needs mastering, everyone does. Don’t give excuses for lack of equipment, lack of studio time or lack of verses and want us to hear your vision of what could be. If you have to tell me about an issue on the song then go back to the lab and come out with a finished product. AND let the music speak for it self. The proof is in the music not your redundancy of trying to translate what should have been.
