Chris Brown Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder & PTSD

Well, when in doubt in having a defense for being out of control, why not use being bipolar as your reason? Chris Brown just recently did.
Chris Brown’s anger issues reportedly stem from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In court documents obtained by TMZ.com, officials from a rehab facility where Chris has spent more than three months write that the singer has “acted out physically” because of his “untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD.”
However, officials do not discuss the cause of Chris’ PTSD, which occurs after a person is exposed to traumatic events. Since entering the facility more than 90-days ago, Chris has been prescribed medication for his bipolar disorder and has learned relaxation exercises to help him cope with his anger. The treatment center also claims that Brown has been “beyond exemplary in his community service responsibilities.”
Last week, a Los Angeles judge extended Chris Brown’s stay in rehab. In a hearing Friday, Chris’ attorneys asked the judge not to rule on the singer’s probation status until the outcome of his April assault trial in Washington, D.C. Brown will return to a Los Angeles court on April 23rd.
